The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former twice world title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving huge paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Difference
As the two fighters participated in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
